As of late afternoon on Tuesday the river is still rising and may continue to for several more hours. Flooding is expected. WARNING. Flooding is expected in Kincraig to Inverdruie. Act now. Continuing rain across the area means that the River Spey is continuing to rise steadily. Water levels are also rising in the River Feshie. Although we are not expecting the extreme flood levels we predicted yesterday, we still expect the river to reach levels that will cause flooding. Areas that have been flooded before should be prepared for flooding to happen and river levels are not expected to peak until late evening on Hogmanay. A FLOOD WARNING has been issued for Kincraig to Inverdruie. Heavy and persistent rainfall from late Friday night and through Saturday may lead to flooding. High levels are forecast for the River Spey during Saturday and into Sunday. Agricultural land is at risk of flooding along the Spey Valley from Loch Insh to Aviemore. Low lying properties and access routes are also at risk.
